This situation is working out. So the "regrets vanish" part of Hexagram 57, line 5 is working out.
I was not sure why Hexagram 18, Poison appeared. It usually refers to a poisoned situation or illness. Wilhelm called this "work on what has been spoiled." But that is not the case here.
Hexagram 18 turned out to be manifested because it was revealed that V's daughter has a chronic illness. I never expected that, but I believe that fulfills Hexagram 18.
